Autumn in Mother's Garden

Here is Autumn deepening into Winter in north India in these lines from Savitri.

Book IV Canto 1: The Birth and Childhood of the Flame

Three thoughtful seasons passed with shining tread
And scanning one by one the pregnant hours
Watched for a flame that lurked in luminous depths,
The vigil of some mighty birth to come. ||93.21||

Autumn led in the glory of her moons
And dreamed in the splendour of her lotus pools
And Winter and Dew-time laid their calm cool hands
On Nature’s bosom still in a half sleep
And deepened with hues of lax and mellow ease
The tranquil beauty of the waning year. ||93.22||

For those who have been following these blogs you will see in the foreground a bluebird house, leaves so gently covering the earth and the irises preparing for their winter sleep.

Autumn’s Leaves

The colours of love abide in autumn’s leaves,
Their hues imprinted long before the green
Of chlorophyll transforms to breathless might
The full and forceful flowering of light
That breaks such miracles on jaded eyes
Its photosynthesis from sun-filled skies,
The silent wonder of an earth so rarely seen
Save to the wakened eye that all-perceives.

In the Bible we read "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"

The photos above show autumn in all its magnificence. Especially breathtaking are the fiery maples that Mother named 'Flame of Aspiration'.

Autumn is a time of reflection, of the stilling earth vibrating with love, and the Supramental Force now fixed in the soil, a time when some flowers, the Chrysanthemums, for example, are at their peak bloom. This profusely flowering plant has been given the significance, 'Life Energy' by the Mother and I find it most significance that the life energy is at its most powerful in Autumn, embedding itself and ready to break out with all its force after Winter, attain its growth and set buds during summer and then offer the most gorgeous panoply of colours and fragrances in fall.

Unexpected Guest

Softly falling sudden snow
Alights on autumn leaves
Cooling the burning maples.
